Train with the best alongside Austrian FIS and European cup racers to introduce the element of competition during training and give a visual model to work towards.

BASI MEMBERS EUROPEAN SPEED TEST TRAINING

Instructors who wish to work in Europe now need to take a speed test as part of their International ski teacher's qualification. This course provides training to enable the instructor to develop an understanding of racing and develop their own performance as racers.

 

 

 

 

We also seek to train alongside young FIS racers from Tirol, to introduce the element of competition during training and give a visual model to work towards. Additionally, we are able to submit entries to Austrian local and county races, and some international events. This gives our trainees a chance to race against some of the best in the world and gain experience in a race situation.

PERSONAL AND SMALL GROUP RACE TRAINING

We are offering courses of training at Seefeld throughout the year. Our groups will be very small, no more than 6 and individual if requested. This is going to maximise your own development. For your maximum benefit we recommend a minimum one week course and a maximum two week course. We have found in the past that individual training can be so intense that even the keenest skiers need a break after 10 days. Stams and Neustift Ski Academies are Austrian state schools of excellence for young skiers, who will eventually represent Austria in prestigious events. Many of the trainers we use have themselves been through these schools, and we aim to follow the high standards set by such organisations. Additionally, we are able to submit entries to Austrian local and county races, and some international and FIS events. This gives our trainees a chance to race against some of the best in the world. Our training programme is tailored to the individual, at the start of the course the trainer will discuss with their group what the goals are. All our training includes ski Slalom and Giant Slalom technique, in and out of gates, line and speed through the gates, fitness (mental and physical) and pre race day preparation leading up to race day.

We have a snow based ski club for young children and junior races and train all disciplines slalom/giant slalom and speed disciplines.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF CLUB:

• To develop all individuals within team and develop their learning skills in a constant and structured way to take them through their racing careers
• To develop members as a team
• Structured training throughout the year
• To develop all race disciplines
• Learn respect and give respect to others in team
• Use other sports to develop their learning abilities and encourage competitive spirit
• Racing in Europe at British/English, International FIS races and local Austrian competitions

• Represent the interests of club members to appropriate authorities
